Captain Flinn and the Pirate Dinosaurs is a story about a little boy called Flinn and some really scary pirate dinosaurs! It’s written by Giles Andreae and Russell Ayto. They are very good at writing a story.
I enjoyed reading this book and I’m going to write my version of it now. But, before I start, here’s how it really begins:
“This is Flinn. He is wearing his pirate T-shirt and colouring in a picture he has drawn of a dinosaur. Flinn LOVES dinosaurs. One day at school, Flinn was colouring in a new dinosaur picture when he realized he didn’t have quite enough pens.” (do you like pens or pencils? choose)

“Why don’t you have a look in the art cupboard, Flinn?” said Miss Pie, his teacher. “I think there are more colours at the back.”

So Flinn opened the door and stepped into the cupboard.”

When he got in the cupboard it was full of things like wool, paint, crayons, paper, lots of things.Suddenly, Flinn could hear something… it was a real live PIRATE CAPTAIN!

“Hello,” said Flinn “What’s the matter?”

The pirate, whose name was Captain Stubble, sniffed and looked at Flinn and sobbed:”My ship! They’ve stolen my ship!”

It is called the Acorn and Captain Stubble let them have some pirate clothes, it was nice and funny. so captain Flinn took over and they sailed… …and sailed… …and sailed…in search of the acorn. The pirates were about to give up hope, when pirate violet shouted from the crow’s-nest,”SHIP AHOY!” stubble grabbed his telescope.”That’s my precios Acorn!” he cried.”LET’S BOARD IT!” cried captain Flinn. “And reclaim your ship from those pirate baddies! ALL HANDS ON DECK!” They sailed faster and faster and closer and closer. When captain Flinn looked in the telescope he said “they are not pirates they are PIRATE DINOSAURS!” there was a pirate tipadoclus, a T.REX.
